For National Breakfast Week we’ve been musing over many aspects of breakfast and we’ve deduced that the closer to home it is, the better it tastes and we’ve worked hard to source the best quality local ingredients . A cooked breakfast doesn’t have to be unhealthy – grilled Devon Rose hand cured bacon and course cut sausage made from slow reared pigs that have roamed freely across the beautiful Gatcombe Farm, local free range eggs lightly poached, Aga baked mushrooms with a dash of organic Ivy House Farm butter and thyme, Hodmedod’s british grown fava beans blended with Whole Earth organic baked beans and a delicious slow baked local tomato. Toast is home baked organic bread and our delicious coffee is hand roasted and blended in Lyme Regis by Amid Giants and Idols. Organic tea is supplied by Dorset based Clipper teas and organic milk is from Ivy House Farm.
Make the effort to buy local – it’s so much more rewarding (and delicious) than shopping at Tesco!
